2023 Season Robot
Leading the Team & Shaping Culture
Over several years with FRC Team ARC 6014, I grew from a hands-on mechanical builder to team co-captain, guiding strategy, mentoring new members, and fostering a culture of curiosity and problem-solving.
I contributed to the design and construction of three competition robots and even led the creation of a full FRC game during the COVID period to keep students engaged and connected. Through collaboration, late nights in the shop, and iterative prototyping, I helped the team reach new engineering heights while cultivating a creative, resilient team culture.
Engineering & Technical Impact
I designed key systems across multiple robots: for the 2022 season, I engineered the elevator and intake mechanisms; during the 2023 offseason, I built the intake, tower, and swerve systems, manufacturing components myself in an industrial facility; and for the 2023 season, I developed the shooter and elevator systems. Each project combined precision fabrication, system integration, and iterative testing, while also giving me opportunities to mentor teammates in mechanical design and hands-on engineering practices. These contributions advanced the team’s technical capabilities and pushed the limits of what we could achieve on the field.

Community Outreach & Chairman’s Award Impact
Beyond the robots, I spearheaded our team’s Chairman’s Award-winning efforts by founding the first FIRST Robotics team in my hometown of Bayburt, Turkey—the smallest and poorest region in the area. I provided robotics kits, mentored multiple local teams, and guided students in both local and international competitions.
This initiative drew attention from local media, led to meetings with the governor and head of education, and created lasting STEM opportunities for the community. By combining technical leadership with meaningful outreach, our team demonstrated innovation, mentorship, and impact—earning recognition at the highest levels of FIRST Robotics.
