Embedded Radar Algorithms
Developed close- to mid-range people and vehicle detection algorithms for FMCW radar systems, running directly on Infineon BGT60ATR24C and TI IWR6843AOPEVM platforms. Gained hands-on experience with embedded firmware, RTOS task scheduling, and DMA memory management while optimizing real-time detection for diverse environments. Learned to balance sensitivity against false positives through iterative testing and threshold tuning—skills that sharpened both my technical adaptability and patience under fast design cycles.
Hardware Design & Integration
Engineered a custom Battery Management System card for the Trafidar road radar to prevent shorts, unintended power draws, and ensure fault-tolerant operation under field conditions. In parallel, contributed to RF hardware development by creating Altium schematics for existing RF chips and advancing PCB layouts for new RF modules, where precision routing and signal integrity were critical.
This work demanded close collaboration with hardware and mechanical engineers, frequent design reviews, and rapid iteration to align electrical design with mechanical constraints. Beyond sharpening my PCB design skills, the experience taught me how to bridge communication between disciplines, balance competing requirements, and deliver reliable hardware under tight deadlines.
